Mount Alvernia College, an independent Catholic secondary girl’s school is leading the way in promoting the importance of movement with their new outdoor sports and fitness zone designed by Urban Play.
It’s widely documented that alarming numbers of teenage girls are abandoning exercise, putting themselves at risk of chronic conditions including depression, obesity and osteoporosis. New figures reveal that nearly 60 per cent of girls aged 15 to 17 now report little or no exercise.
Wanting to encourage the girls to get moving and form healthy habits, the school’s vision for creating a motivating, accessible and inclusive space was brought to life with key pieces from KOMPAN’s new cross system range.
Selected based on popular activities for both group and individual training, the custom design encourages strength, speed, agility and cardiovascular fitness, all with the support of a customised digital app. Guiding exercise, technique, nutrition and motivation, the easy to use digital platform has become a welcome addition to the health and physical education curriculum providing a dynamic and attractive space for growing teens.
Known for their product quality and service reliability, Urban Play partners with well-known International play brand KOMPAN to provide these industry leading custom solutions
