Pioneer Park - Te Awamutu
In 2017 Playground People were honored to be selected as playground suppliers for the Pioneer Park playground upgrade in Te Awamutu. We worked closely with Waipa District Council and Beca to help design the transformation of the existing play area into a destination playground for families all over Waikato to enjoy.
The completely fenced junior play area is one of the coolest public playgrounds for preschoolers you will find anywhere in the country – all the equipment is accessible and laid out in a subtle circuit: a perfect mix of active, sensory, social and imaginative play.
For the older kids we custom designed a tower structure based on Beca’s original design, providing the height and social space coveted by the older age group. We also worked hard with the design team to utilise a large embankment area by creating circuit made of slides and balance play items – great for group games of tag!
