Sunset Primary School
When Rotorua’s Sunset School set about upgrading their playground, they had a wider vision – they wanted a play space that would be open to the whole community to come and play together, to help make the school a positive destination for everyone.
Knowing that adults would be using the equipment alongside their kids they wanted equipment that was proven to withstand heavy use and provide maximum play value. The school consulted with Rotorua Lakes Council to assist with the decision-making process, Playground People were honoured to be selected to turn this vision into reality.
We are very proud to be a part of Sunset School’s development, which was recognised with Minister of Local Government’s Award for Innovation in Council/Community Relations from the NZ Society of Local Government Managers.
