Whangarei Town Basin
In 2008 Whangarei District Council set about revitalising the Town Basin, they wanted a playground that would suit all ages and abilities and most importantly draw people from all over the region into the area. Playground People were awarded the contract and what resulted is the biggest and most popular playground in Northland. Using accessible equipment from several Kompan ranges as well as a Large Corocord Spacenet, we designed a play space that would bring families together in healthy active play while complimenting the existing aesthetics of the area.
